I was blown away with this book!Nothing else mattered, because nature’s wrath couldn’t compare to this.
The reunion scene alone would have been enough. Luckily for me (and you), there’s so much more.Wow! Action, answers, confessions, apologies, anguish, promises, ghosts, voodoo and gators. And some of the hottest sex around. CraZy shaking need!!!
OH, and one of the best “mine” moments ever! Okay, so it’s a little erotic, but I thought it was perfect.
Oh, oh…and the “gooseflesh.” Oh jeez, yeah I am really just all about these two guys and their story.
Tommy Boudreaux - It seems like everyone’s out to get Tommy in this book. But mostly, it’s about Prophet “getting” him."No one's ever taken care of you back, Proph. You have to fucking let me.""I don't know how," Prophet said, and Tom sighed internally because that wasn't a no. Not by a long shot.
Prophet Drews - Working himself nearly to death to forget about Tommy and to still his flashbacks we learn much, maybe too much, about Prophet’s past.Guess you don’t need flashbacks if you’re living the real thing.
Side Characters -
Mick and Blue – I can’t tell if I want to chase or be chased. Damn these two!
Cillian – Someone wants to kill you? Really? Huh.
Mal – Oh boy, I think you have a lot to say. I’m a goner for Mal!!!
Roger and David – "Roger and Dave enjoyed the show,…" You’ll enjoy Roger and Dave too.
Tommy and Prophet have been separated for four miserable months. Tommy's trainingIf working with Prophet had taught him anything, it was that promises were dangerous, especially if they were worthwhile.
in N. Africa, but sends daily emails to Prophet that are completely ignored,
Soldier of fortune Prophet Drews always worked alone—until Tom Boudreaux became his partner. But when Tom walked away three months ago, ostensibly to keep Prophet safe, Prophet learned the true meaning of being alone. Everyone knows that Prophet, a Navy SEAL turned CIA spook turned mercenary, can look after himself. Which means he must’ve driven his lover away.
Even with half a world between them, Prophet can’t get the man out of his head. Maybe that’s why he’s in New Orleans in the middle of a hurricane, protecting Tom’s aunt. But the only looter around is Tom, bursting back into Prophet’s life. It turns out that Prophet’s been stuck in Tom’s head—and heart—too.
Their explosive reunion gets even hotter when Tom is arrested for murder. As they fight to clear his name, they delve deep into his past, finding enemies among everyone they meet. Staying alive in such a dangerous world is hard enough, but they soon discover that fighting to stay together is the most difficult thing they’ve ever done.
