My reviews for The Professor's Rule series books:
Giving an Inch - Book 1
An Inch at a Time - Book 2

~ ~ ~

Well this book is just full of revelations and questions. I love that. If questions were answered, and they were, then new layers to these relationships are revealed.

I could feel myself in James’ place throughout this book. I want him to have what he needs, but it’s no more clear to me what that is than it is to him. Needs, wants and desires, oh yeah, desires are all over in this book.

THE CHARACTERS

James Sheridan - Confession is good for the soul James. Or is it?

Professor Evander Carson (aka Prof. Sexy Silver Fox) - Is the perfect professor shaken?

Satish Malhotra - Satish, if these two don’t work for you, you can just come home with me honey.

THE STORY

After two years, were they starting over, or picking up where they had left off?

So we’re back in real time and James is making a conscience decision to reengage with his professor, but he’s also taking a bit of control back. Or is he? When he tells Carson that his

The Blurb:

After two long, kink-free years apart, James Sheridan has reunited with his Professor: the sexy, dominant Evander Carson. But this time, things will be different. James is older, more sure of himself, and confident that he can draw the line between Carson’s demands and his own principles.

One of those lines is gorgeous menswear salesman Satish Malhotra. After their steamy dressing room encounter, James feels an unexpected connection to Satish, and he wants to explore it further. But Carson’s involvement—in James’s life, and in James and Satish’s budding relationship—complicates things.

Carson’s penchant for using other men in their sex games has always troubled James, and he’s adamant that Satish not be just another notch in their whipping post. But when Satish learns what prompted James to pursue him in the first place, will James’s new ability to draw the line even matter?

relationship with Satish is different from what he’s had before, the Professor has some interesting reactions.

Side note: The authors held a contest to determine which form of bdsm they would focus on in this book. The winning suggestion was sensory deprivation. I don’t think a better form could have been chosen for this book. James is reentering the professors domain after being out of contact for 2 years. What better way to rebuild that trust than through complete and total dependency? Perfect. Kudos to: Adara O’Hare for the suggestion.

James and Satish go out on their first date and I have to tell you the honesty that James offers to Satish is great. How many books/series have I read where I have to wait forever for the M/C’s to come clean, to lay it all out on the table? It gets frustrating. Here we have that right off and it’s a great jumping off point. Putting the ball into Satish’s court is an interesting development that begs for more exploration and I bet we’re going to get a lot more study time soon.

THE WRITING

With trust came rewards. But that didn’t make it any less scary.

The writing between Belleau and Gormely is seemless. I have no idea if they divvied up the characters or took another method, but however they divided the workload it works.

The heat levels off a bit in this book, but it’s replaced with a tender gentleness mixed with anxiety that kept me riveted. As I said earlier there is much more here than I expected.
