THIS is why we read SEJakes.

So many questions answered.
So many new revelations.
So much emotion, sex, vulnerability, depth and pain.
And still, so much remains unknown.

Prophet Drews -
Prophet put up a hell of a fight, but when he surrendered it was so completely, unmistakably beautiful.

Tommy Boudreaux -
Everything had suddenly gotten really complicated…and somehow better at the same time.
 Lansing - CIA prick.

John Morse - Best friend, first love, SEAL teammate. And a dead man.

Cillian and Mal  - OH man, I can’t, just can’t.

King and Ren and Hook - Yup, they’re here and in fine form.

Intrigue x 10
Mystery wrapped in tension, action, danger.
Sexy, well…Tommy & Prophet.
Love. Yes. Love.
And Chapter One doesn’t require breathing.

The entirety of this story is just too big to condense here, but suffice it to say that this third book

The Blurb:

Before Prophet Drews can have a future, he must first put his past to rest.

Prophet Drews is a man on the edge, and he’s pulling Tom Boudreaux, his partner on the job and in real life, right over with him. When his old CO calls in a favor, Prophet asks Tom to join the off-the-grid rescue. But the mission raises all of Prophet’s old ghosts: CIA assassins, the terrorist Sadiq, and most importantly, John—traitor, former teammate, and Prophet’s first love.

To help bury those ghosts for good, Prophet and Tom gather the members of Prophet’s former SEAL team . . . and a spook named Cillian who’s been tailing Prophet for years. In the process, Prophet is forced to face his team’s shifting loyalties, ghosts who refuse to stay dead, and scariest of all, his own limitations.

With everyone’s lives in danger, Prophet and Tom must unravel a tangled knot of secrets, including their own. Prophet must decide how much to reveal to Tom, while Tom must decide how far he’s willing to go to help Prophet lay his ghosts to rest.

in the series picks up about four months past where Long Time Gone left off and at about the same time as Dirty Deeds begins.

Things have been moving forward with Tommy and Prophet on the home front, but now they are called upon to help a buddy who has been kidnapped, stirring up old conflicts. There’s no question that they’ll take on this mission together, but they’ll also be joined by colleagues…and ghosts. Believe me, I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of everything that this book contains.

SE Jakes drives her story and her reader like an OTR  trucker drives a semi; with control, power and a her sights set on getting the product there. She knows where she’s going and you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
And that’s when he began fucking Prophet in earnest, saying his name like a cross between a chant and a prayer, and Prophet was damned sure no one had made it sound better.
There’s a reason this series has become so popular and it’s because of the storytelling. The books create discussion and you just want to tear ‘em down, figure ‘em out and discuss, discuss, discuss. I think I pity the poor reader out there who doesn’t have someone to hash this all out with.

“We’ve gotten through a lot of shit already, Tommy. A lot. Maybe more than we’re supposed to. Maybe we’ve reached our limit.
“Still trying to protect me.”
“I’m going to chance it. Figure the universe already put us through hell. I think we’re meant to come out the other side together.”
Prophet rolled his eyes.
“Romantic fucking voodoo Cajun shit.”
“That’s lovely. Anyway, what would we do with all our free time?”
“We could go run a goat farm,” Prophet suggested.

OH, and to answer my lead up post to this review:
Isn’t it enough that you threw the couch out the window?”
“You fucking love that shit,” Tom growled. “The jealousy turns you the hell on.”
See below, to find out what ^^^ that’s all about ;)
