#BlogTour - Wayward Secret (Wayward Saints 7) by K Renee @k_renee_author #mmromance

RELEASE DATE: 12.01.16

Only on Amazon and KU!

Growing up, I idolized my father. I wanted to be the same type of man he was, but I wasn’t. I didn’t function the same way he did. I had my own vices that kept me isolated from the rest of my brothers and the club. I felt like I was living a lie until I met Spencer. Spencer never judged me for being a biker, but he also didn’t know I was part of the Wayward Saints.
I kept my life a secret from him, a secret from pretty much everyone. Secrets never stay hidden for long and soon I have to choose. Choose between the family I love more than anything and the one I’ve fallen for in a short period of time.

Being part of the special crimes unit is something I have worked my ass off to achieve. One night can change all of that, and can cause me to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for. Elijah is worth that, even if I don’t tell him that. He didn’t know how I felt about him when I watched him walk out the door.

One case can take our perfect arrangement to utter devastation. When truths come out, I am ordered to get information from him – have him rat on his own family, something I know he would never do. One wrong move and one of us can be killed.

Is love worth a death sentence? I know I would die for Elijah, I just hope he will be there to save me in time.

“Nice bike.” He says as I kill the engine.

“Thanks. I custom built her when I turned eighteen.” I run my hand over the gas tank and he makes his way towards me. His eyes never leave mine as he reaches out and pulls my head to his mouth.

“I’ve always wanted to ride on one of these Harley’s.” He says when he releases my mouth. My hand grips his hip, I pull him closer and motion for him to get on. He slowly puts his leg over the bike and sits in front of me. My dick is straining against my jean, I want so bad to free the fucker just so I can get his sweet lips wrapped around me.

“I’ll give you something to ride.” I murmur, pulling his head to mine. I grip the nape of his hair and run my mouth against his throat. I hear a car coming down the street, but his truck is blocking the sight of us. The lights illuminate the area around us and when I look down, I can see the bulge in his jeans. My free hand runs down his neck and towards his stomach, slowly feeling my way down his rigid body.

#BlogTour #Giveaway - No Small Parts by Ally Blue @PopessAllyBlue #MMRom @RiptideBooks

Hello out there, lovely readers. I’m Ally Blue. Welcome to the blog tour for my new book, No Small Parts. It’s the latest addition to Riptide Publishing’s awesome Bluewater Bay universe. I love this story, I love my boys—Nat Horn and Rafael Cortez—and I’m excited to give y’all a glimpse behind the scenes. Thanks so much to my blog hosts for having me here, and thank you all for joining me!

About No Small Parts

Nat Horn is almost living the dream. His part as a werewolf extra on the hit show Wolf’s Landing has somehow turned into a regular role. Beautiful rising star Solari Praveen has taken an interest in him. He’s even making enough money to think about getting out of Bluewater Bay someday. Except his retired dad’s dependence on pain medications seems to be getting worse, and Nat’s the only one around to take care of him.
When Nat learns that Solari’s interest isn’t romantic, his disappointment is surprisingly short-lived, because in getting to know her, he also got to know her assistant, Rafael. And Rafael turns out to be the kind of friend—and potential boyfriend—Nat never dared to dream about.

Distracted by his astonishing new life, new friends, and new possibilities, Nat lets his guard down, and suddenly his life goes careening out of control. Racked by guilt, he tries to push his new friends away, but the bonds he’s formed are already too strong. In fact, they’re strong enough to pull him forward, into the future he’s been longing for—but to get there, he’ll have to let go of the past.

Now available from Riptide Publishing. http://riptidepublishing.com/titles/no-small-parts

About Ally Blue

Ally Blue is acknowledged by the world at large (or at least by her heroes, who tend to suffer a lot) as the Popess of Gay Angst.

She has a great big suggestively-shaped hat and rides in a bullet-proof Plexiglas bubble in Christmas parades. Her harem of manwhores does double duty as bodyguards and inspirational entertainment. Her favorite band is Radiohead, her favorite color is lime green and her favorite way to waste a perfectly good Saturday is to watch all three extended version LOTR movies in a row.

Her ultimate dream is to one day ditch the evil day job and support the family on manlove alone. She is not a hippie or a brain surgeon, no matter what her kids’ friends say.

#BookReview #Excerpt - Holly and Hockey Boots by VL Locey @vllocey 4.0 Delighted Holiday Stars #mmromance

Holly and Hockey Boots
By V.L. Locey

( M/M Holiday Hockey Novella)
Series: N/A
Author: V.L. Locey
Publisher: Self-Published
Cover Artist: Rêverie Design and Formatting
Length: Novella
Release Date: December 5, 2016

Minor league goalie Adam Seiger is a nice guy. He’s kind, cute, and a little quirky (but show me a goalie who isn’t), and he loves to interact with fans. During a meet-and-greet after a game, Adam meets Cason Reyes, a hard-working young man with stunning gold-green eyes and a smile as sweet as a candy cane. Desperate to see Cason again, Adam does something more than a little naughty.

To add insult to the egg nog, it appears that one little white lie might ruin Adam’s chance of having a merry Christmas with a new boyfriend. Will he end up with nothing but a lump of coal in his stocking, instead of the man who owns his heart?
~ ~ ~

Fun, fast and festive! The whip smart writing and well balanced humor made this a very enjoyable read. This is a budding romance story all the way through. In the end you are gifted with a smoking hot, extended make out session that becomes a full blown sex scene that’ll have your tinsel tingling and your chestnuts crackling.

Adam – A tall, dark, handsome and very flexible hockey player. His humor is the highlight of the book.

Cason – Gorgeous almond eyes and a heart of gold. He cares for his incapacitated dad and raises his nephew.

Two down-to-earth, regular guys have an intense immediate attraction, but Adam completely bungles his chances with Cason. He’s broke, pining, and can’t figure out a way to keep the ridiculous promises he’s made.
Luckily it’s Christmas and somehow the whole thing comes together. You’ll find yourself really pulling for these two.

A refreshing mix of quick-witted writing and charming character development made this perfectly enjoyable. The characters and setting felt relatable. There was a nip in the air and also heat where it counted. Well done.
Grab this one to read during the holidays, but make sure you’re alone for that final chapter. Whew!

~ ~ ~

“So tell me about Adam Seiger, the first gay black goalie I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating spiedies with.”
I smiled around the mouthful of awesomeness. “Not much to tell,” I said after I swallowed roughly. “I grew up in Toronto, played lots of hockey, and was taken in by my aunt and uncle when my parents were killed in a motorcycle accident.”
“Ouch,” he murmured after dipping a fry into a glob of ketchup on his plate. “That must have been rough on you. How old were you when they died?”
“Four, so I don’t really remember too much about them. My aunt and uncle were the best, really.” I looked up from my food to find Cason staring at me. “Do I have food on my face?”
“No, no, you’re just,” he paused with a fry hovering in front of his face, “you’re probably the best looking man I’ve seen in this city for years. I guess I’m kind of stunned to find myself sitting here, on a date, with such a sexy jock.” I had to avert my sight, just until I could get the surge of embarrassment and white-hot lust under control. “See, that there—that is so hot. I love that about hockey players. They’re always so damn humble.”
“So yeah, enough about me or my face will combust,” I said, and Cason chuckled then shoved his fry into his mouth. “How did a kid with a dad from Argentina get into hockey? I’d think you’d be a soccer fan.”
“Oh, I am, but winter in Binghamton means hockey, so I go to the games when I can afford it. I like the speed of hockey, and the violence. Also, the goalies are really cute.”
I coughed and ducked my head. “You’re doing it again.” Cason laughed and I felt the rib pit tip dangerously to the right. Making him laugh again now seemed like the most important thing ever. “Do you always talk up your dates this way?”
“Only if I’m dreaming about a kiss at the end of the date,” he confessed, but I saw a shade of pink settle into his smooth cheeks. Seemed he was a bit of a blusher as well. That was good to know.
“Yeah, that dream is pretty sure to be fulfilled if you keep talking like that.”

#BlogTour #Giveaway - One Life to Lose by Kris Ripper @SmutTasticKris #queerrom @RiptideBooks

Hi, I'm Kris and welcome to the blog tour for One Life to Lose, book four in my awesome queer soap opera! Enjoy the blog tour!

About One Life to Lose

Cameron Rheingold is the kind of guy who takes a book to a bar. He’s a loner by nature, but he has to engage with the community to keep his movie theater business afloat. When two young men stay after a Cary Grant film showing to chat, Cameron thinks he might have made some new friends—but their interest is more than friendly.
Josh is charismatic, and every smile is a little bit seductive. Keith is sweet and kind, with a core of steel Cameron can sense even when Keith’s on his knees. Cameron is willing to be the couple’s kinky third, but that’s it. He refuses to risk complicating things with his growing devotion, even if being with Josh and Keith feels more right than anything else ever has.

When the three of them are attacked by the killer roaming La Vista, Cameron must decide what’s more important: pretending the assault never happened and he’s the same loner he used to be, or coming clean to Josh and Keith about how much he loves them, even if they can never return his feelings.

Now available at Riptide Publishing. http://riptidepublishing.com/titles/one-life-to-lose

#BlogTour #Excerpt1 Amz GC #Giveaway - Jingle Spell by Chris Ethan @Rhys_Ethan @Eyes_on_Books

It’s the most horrible time of the year.

Smooches under mistletoes and tacky reindeer decorations.

Newly single, Davey has had enough of wasting his love and having his heart broken. Better to be single, he decides. No more dates. No more falling in love. No more dreaming of happy ever afters. Those are for movies.

He’s resolute.

And then Avery steps into his life, bringing care, compassion, and tenderness in his path.

Davey’s so tempted to hope again. But can an online date and a brief encounter turn into anything other than an ephemeral sexual encounter?

Is there a future for them? Will Avery stay? And most importantly, can Davey bear to offer up his heart to the season’s love—just one more time?

Excerpt #1

When he returned to his position, the lines had doubled in size, so he did his best to get rid of the ever-growing horde of impatient, loud customers. His next customer dropped a shopping bag on top of his counter, startling him. He looked up, his face full of rage ready to shoot daggers, but his retaliation was bitten down the moment he set eyes on the customer.
He was older, that much was obvious, but not by much. His grey eyes, spoke volumes with their sadness behind his spectacles, and there was a sprinkle of salt-and-pepper in his hair. He didn’t smile, but he was staring at Davey too, greeting him with a soft voice that Davey thought didn’t match his confident look.
He took the shopping cart and emptied the contents in paper bags, scanning them all one by one. His eyes kept darting back to the man’s face, betraying his attraction. Maybe the guy liked him too. Maybe he would ask his name and Davey could ignore the nervous tapping of the customers behind and chat him up. Maybe Davey could get his number and they could go out. Maybe the customer was the one.
Jingle Spell Chris Ethan CoverDavey shook his head as he passed the bags to the guy, shaking the thoughts off. That was what had gotten him into so much trouble. He couldn’t keep thinking like that. It only ever ended in hurt and anguish, and he had promised himself he was done with those feelings.
The guy paid on his credit card and walked off with nothing more than an awkward smile, never looking back. Of course he hadn’t. Because these things didn’t happen in real life. No one looked at anyone and thought I’m gonna spend the rest of my life with you and told the story of their love-at-first-sight to their grandkids. And even if they did, it would go a bit more like “I saw him and I knew I wanted to screw his eyes out. But then he wouldn’t go away the next morning, and that’s how you guys came to be.” Davey knew all too well how men were, and he wasn’t gonna let anyone else use him and abuse him ever again.
Just as he was finishing up with the next customer, he saw the man coming back. He had come back for Davey. To ask him out. To tell him…
To tell him he didn’t take the security pin out of the scarf. No! Love in real life didn’t happen like that. Love in real life didn’t happen, full stop.
“Can you get the pin out of the scarf? The security guard won’t let me go away,” he said, frustrated.
Davey took the fabric in his hand. “Sure,” he said. It was soft and fuzzy but not overly warm. It was an item that had been brought in only this week, but it hadn’t been as popular with shoppers as the woolen ones. It was pink and purple. Not a great color scheme for the festive hordes. Davey inserted the magnetic side of the pin on the counter and removed the ink cartridge from the piece of fabric with ease. He wrapped it up instinctively and passed it back to its rightful owner. “That should do the trick,” he said and smiled at him.

Murder Once Seen by JT Hall @JTHall7 #GuestPost #Giveaway - WIN $20 @riptidebooks credit

Hi All,

Please help me welcome, JT Hall to the blog :)

~ ~ ~

What keeps me motivated, and do I get writer’s block?

I’ll address the second question first. Do I get writer’s block? There were several years where I wrote almost nothing, back when my daughter was young, I was in a new relationship, and I was dealing with the aftermath of a yucky divorce. At this time I was also feeling frustrated with the traditional process of writing—write something, submit it, wait for rejection, repeat, over and over. I’d had a few fantasy short stories published in extremely small press magazines, but I didn’t have much confidence in myself as a writer. I sat on a novel I’d written in my twenties and went into an editing spiral on it.

Things changed in 2011.

The first thing that happened is I purchased a Kindle and discovered eBooks. This led me to Amazon and the whole self-publishing phenomenon. I suddenly felt galvanized—there was a new pathway to becoming a successful writer! I started writing more, starting with a very modest daily word goal. I read blogs of writers who had mentored me in the past—Dean Wesley Smith and Kristine Kathryn Rusch. And I discovered Goodreads, and the whole new mmromance trend. I’d been writing slash fanfiction for years. So it made sense to start writing my own gay romances. For some reason I always struggled when writing fantasy, but writing gay romance flowed so easily. I began with some short stories and novellas to get a feel for creating my own characters and plots.

I started writing Murder Once Seen May of 2013.

Since then, I haven’t really gotten writer’s block. There are easier days and harder days, but every day I feel motivated. I’ve found characters and stories that I want to write, and I want to see out there. I was hoping for a more traditional publishing for the Oddities series, so I was thrilled when Riptide offered me a contract, especially since they were my number one choice. But nowadays I feel confident that even if I don’t have a publisher I can put out a good project on my own. Having the freedom to self-publish put all the power in my hands, and there’s no one to blame but me now if I don’t get words out there.

To me, that meant everything. I always wanted to be a writer. And in the LGBT world, I found the kinds of stories that most motivated me to write.

It’s a great time in the history of publishing.

So to finally answer the question of what gets me motivated? I’m motivated to get the next book done, or the next chapter, or even the next scene. I’m impatient to see my stuff out there for readers to enjoy. Since 2013 I’ve finished three mmromance novels; this month is seeing the release of only the first one, so look for more in 2017. I’m nearing the climax on a YA gay paranormal romance so I’m hoping to get that done in early 2017, and then I’m also just starting the third Oddities book.

Working on multiple projects also keeps me motivated since I can move to a different project if I get stuck or bored with one. I’ll have daily word goals for each project—perhaps I want 400 words a day on Project 1 and then 300 words a day on Project 2. I also have them prioritized so that if I don’t get to everything on a given day, at least I’m hitting the most urgent project. Since I also work a day job my typical daily goal is about 1000 words total, but lately that hasn’t been happening because I’m job hunting at the moment and things have been crazy. But then again, I’m also working on blog posts and developmental editing, so if you added those words in, I probably am hitting that goal, or close to it.

I guess the final motivation is just that writing bug inside me that I’ve always had. I love to write. When I’m not writing, I’m not happy.

That means that no matter what is going on in my life, I’ll never stop completely.
