#BlogTour - Resurrection by @SDavidsonauthor #Giveaway #MM #Excerpt 3

Two men with painful, complicated pasts who have shut themselves down from ever loving again. Complete opposites of one another, one raised in a strict military household, who grew up with the sole purpose of becoming a soldier and defending his country, only to have that cut short by an IED; and the other raised in the rodeo, small town and ranch life his safe haven; and their chance meeting. How the two of them end up in some small town diner can only be credited to divine intervention. But are both men too damaged? They say God works in mysterious ways. Well, he certainly had his hands full when he chose these two for saving. Is it too late?
Excerpt #3

“Good as new,” Jamie said as he hopped out of the cab. He was again freshly showered, hair still wet and pulled back out of his face and Chris picked up a scent of his cologne. He hadn’t noticed that before. He’d always been hypersensitive to smells.
“She sounds better than she did when I first bought her. What the hell did you do to her?” He chuckled, touching the hood affectionately.
“Ah, you gotta know how to treat the ladies.” Jamie was actually quite proud of himself. It had been a while since he’d been able to work on an engine. “Talk sweet to them, tell them how pretty their chassis is, offer them a drink, stroke their bumper, and dance with ‘em. A little nut tighten here, some lubrication there, a bit of a bypass when things get too tight, and before long, they are purring to your song.”
“You are talking about my truck, aren’t you?” Chris laughed. “It’s okay, honey. Did he get under your bonnet and violate you?” He stroked the hood.
Jamie held up his hands. “Hey, that was strictly consensual. In fact, she was asking for it with the way you flooded the poor girl this morning. I’m surprised she’ll even look at you.”
Chris stuck out his hand. “Thank you. I really appreciate you fixing her for me.” They shook.
“Anytime. I actually enjoyed it. Been a while since I had to resuscitate anyone.”
Chris punched Jamie in the arm. “She wasn’t that bad!” He laughed.
“Oh, yes she was! When’s the last time you took her out for drinks, a nice dinner?” he asked, raising his brow.
“Speaking of dinner,” Chris looked back to the load of boxes he still had sitting outside. “If you give me a hand with getting these inside, I’ll buy you dinner, then give you a ride back.” He pointed to the diner.

“I believe I can do that.” Jamie nodded.

Who is Shelly Davidson? Shelly is someone who has been writing literally her entire life (and that’s a LONG time) and has always written M/M. Her first story was back in high school and she hasn’t stopped since. Of course, Shelly never dreamed of getting published, so needless to say, she’s in heaven! Shelly loves her characters. Her writing focus is real people, flaws and all, who are hurting or damaged, but deserve a little joy in their lives. Shelly was born and raised in Arizona, but currently lives in California because that is where the money is! She is currently single, but has a grown daughter and an adorable grandson both of whom she loves dearly. While she usually stays pretty much to herself, she does have a Bachelor’s in Social Services and a diverse background that ranges from theater to health care and currently works in accounting, she swears it’s not as boring as it sounds. While this is her first publication, it is by far not the last! She plans on being around for quite some time! You’ve been warned!
