#Giveaway Kink in Kilt Post - Shaded Chains #Release Party w/Jack L Pyke @jackl_pyke @ForbiddenFic #gayromance #mmrom

Hello Everyone!!! I am always happy to host Jack not only because she writes some of my favorite reads, but because she is just a genuinely fabulous person. This time she comes bearing gifts. Sure, there's a giveaway (check out the link below), but mostly this release, Shaded Chains is a delightful gift in itself. Truly, a kinky, surprising, fulfilling read in a perfect size. I just loved this read. You will too. Please welcome Jack and meet Alex and Ross.

Kink in Kilt

Huge thanks to Lisa and the guys for hosting my fifth day of my seven-day tour with Shaded Chains. Yesterday I was with the Blogger Girls, going head to head with readers and their quirky questions, and tomorrow I’m with Alpha Book Club, looking at a few more. So please check me out there too!

Today we’re, well, let’s be honest here – we’re going full and gratuitous kink in Kilt. Or are we? It’s certainly one of the kink’s that Alex has in Shaded Chains, how he’d love to see Ross, his Scottish Dom, in a kilt during a sex scene. And, yep, it’s got to be one of the hottest fantasies most have!

But if we flip the coin and take a look at the Scot’s man who wears the kilt, how much do we unintentionally objectify without really meaning to when it comes to understanding the history of the Scot’s and them wearing their clan colours?

The kilt carries two connotations in Scotland. On a macro level, it’s part of Scotland’s National Dress Code, dating back to the 16th century and showing a Scotsman’s honour and patriotism. But looking closer and touching that micro level, the different colours of kilts represent individual clan history, marking family and heritage. So if you’re born a Macdougall, you’d be a part of the clan Mcdougall, and not only would you have your own clan colours when it comes to a kilt, but your own clan badge too. It’s one hell of a way to mark country and the finer relations and passions of individual heritage.

As kilts are worn for special occasions: weddings, formal engagement etc, where one clan member wearing a kilt will no doubt see another family member in the same colours, how would wearing a kilt for finer intimate relations in the bedroom really go down?

For Ross, a Scot’s Dom who is about as kinky as you can get when it comes to BDSM, just as loving too, kilt-play during sex is a… heated no-go discussion, to say the least! One that Alex tries lightly to keep drawing out in all the good ways in Ross, but who also recognises that where sometimes showing family heritage can be damn sexy in his own mind, for Ross it could be a passion-killer. So for Alex, testing out that is always gentle game-play in their relationship, but one he’s captive to try and see play out in his own subtle ways. But that leaves Ross with the fallout, and also the reminders on why Alex doesn’t go kink in kilt with him:

Ross took his time untying Alex, pausing while tasting his lips, or gently biting at his hip, an inside thigh—it didn’t matter where, so long as Alex knew that where he lost the safety of the rope, Ross was still there.

“’Kay,” said Alex after he was pulled up to sit on the table. “That was… kinky.” He scratched at his hair, roughing it up some more, sounding as though his head was in bed already, he just needed his body to follow.

“Exhausted?” Ross moved in to kiss at his neck, and Alex rested against his shoulder and nodded.

“Fucked. So bad now, Sir.”

Ross brushed the back of his hand over Alex’s cock, again catching the piercing, the tattoo he’d just inked there, making Alex jolt a touch. As he did, a bite came at Ross’s shoulder, causing shivers.

“Hurts…,” breathed Alex.

“For the kilt comment, not nearly enough.” Ross nibbled and smirked into Alex’s neck.

Alex eased away a touch, a hand on Ross’s shoulder. “Kilt comment?”

Ross tilted his head slightly and caught Alex try to bury a chuckle. “What have I asked you not to do with my clan’s colours when it comes to sex-play?”

“Not to ask about you wearing the kilt. Not in public, not in private.”

“And what did you do?”

Alex came in close again and that hand on Ross’s shoulder slipped down to his side, all to join the other and start gently digging and pulling at Ross’s ass. He was asking for mercy and just to cuddle instead.

“I tried to go kink in kilt.”

“Aye,” said Ross. “You wanted to go kink with the kilt.”

“Go fetch the riding crop, should I?” Then there was the softest chuckle.

Alex stopped palming at Ross’s ass. “Maybe now’s probably not the best time to mention what I’ve got you for our anniversary?”

Ross smiled and kissed at his shoulder. “You’ve got another kilt, haven’t you?”

Alex nodded a little too quickly, then— “But it’s not your family’s colours. I know how much you hate using your kilt for a sex scene when it represents whole generations of your family, but—”

“But this one isn’t your family colours, just… just.” He was really smiling now.

“Well, y’know, kink in kilt. Any kilt, just not yours….”

It’s been really lovely to play this subtle theme regard kilts and mix it with the main plot, all to test Ross out and see if he’d change his mind on the kilt score. Whether he does or not, this lighter play goes through some dark times for them both, but there’s always that strong sense of family and true colours, even if it is pushed to breaking at times.

Jack L. Pyke blames her dark writing influences on living close to one of England’s finest forests. Having grown up hearing a history of kidnappings, murders, strange sightings, and sexual exploits her neck of the woods is renowned for, Jack takes that into her writing, having also learned that human coping strategies for intense situations can sometimes make the best of people have disastrously bad moments. Redeeming those flaws is Jack’s drive, and if that drive just happens to lead to sexual tension between two or more guys, Jack’s the first to let nature take its course.
